We’re a small but mighty deli tucked away on Lyndhurst Avenue, West Jesmond.


Born from a love of big flavours, good bread and even better company, Awesome Franks is the place you come for:

We’re local, independent, and focused on doing simple things properly.

From morning right through to our slower, softer evenings, the café has become a place people use in their own way — a quiet corner to work, a spot to catch up with friends, somewhere to read, refuel, celebrate or simply pause for a moment. We’ve always wanted Awesome Franks to feel human and unpolished in the best sense: warm service, plenty of colour, the comfort of familiar faces, and food that shows care without trying too hard. It’s the little details, and the people who walk through the door, that give the place its real character.

Awesome Franks is a neighbourhood café and deli tucked beside West Jesmond Metro station, serving bold flavours, good coffee and a colourful, relaxed atmosphere. Since opening, we’ve even been highlighted by local press as “a vibrant new addition to the West Jesmond community,” which is exactly what we aim to be, a place where good food, friendly faces and everyday moments come together.

We’re open throughout the week for coffees, sarnies, pizza squares and easygoing daytime vibes, with late-night service on Fridays and Saturdays for anyone wanting a more leisurely bite, a drink, or a cosy evening in our colourful space.
